The Balance Plan
Angelique Panagos has been through the mill and back with her hormones.
Her periods started aged 10, throwing her into a state of confusion and marking the beginning of a 17 year-long roller-coaster ride of hormonal chaos.
Pick a problem - any problem - linked to menstruation or hormonal health, and Angelique will be able to tell you she's suffered with it; period pain, mood swings, debilitating headaches, weight gain, bloating, insomnia, weight loss, extreme fatigue, irregular cycles, anorexia, bulimia, secondary amenorrhea (when periods stop altogether), Hashimoto's, thyroid issues, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pregnancy struggles, and two devastating miscarriages.
They say 'what doesn't break you makes you stronger,' and in my opinion, Angelique must hold warrior status by now.
She found her way out of health turmoil and is now a nutritional therapist trained in functional medicine, specialising in hormonal health and she has a beautiful healthy daughter.
In ep 13, you'll hear about Angelique's personal story, how she turned her health around and now dedicates her career to helping others.
Have a read of her book, 'The Balance Plan: Six Steps To Optimise Hormonal Health'.
This inspiring and broad-ranging interview is a must-listen for every female, with topics worth hearing if you’re a guy too (e.g. sleep, stress, sugar and chemicals).
