TrueDark Blue Light-Filtering Glasses

See this content in the original post

A company that makes blue light-filtering glasses - TrueDark - sent me three pairs with different colored lenses to review on healthHackers.

I’d heard the glasses were good for blocking out some of the artificial ‘junk’ light you get from your computer, TV and phone screen that might disrupt your circadian rhythm - that’s your sleep/wake cycle.

After 10 days (the recommended time frame to experience reported benefits), I compared my sleep quality and energy to pre-glasses-wearing levels (as best as I could without being a scientist).

I also interviewed TrueDark’s Megan Soffer about when to wear the different lenses, and asked for her reaction to the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s view that there’s no evidence the kind or amount of light coming from computer screens is damaging to our eyes.
